At Trinity Leeds we take recycling and sustainability seriously. We purchase all our electricity from 100% renewable sources, too, meaning that our stores are powered by solar arrays, wind farms and hydroelectric power stations from across the UK.
So, if you’ve made a new year’s resolution to lead a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, you’ve come to the right place! Here are a few pointers from our stores to give you a helping hand…
1) Trade in your old clothes
As an incentive to recycle more, at H&M you’ll receive a £5 voucher to use on a £25 spend when you bring in a supermarket-sized carrier bag of unwanted clothes. All textiles are welcome – any brand and any condition – even odd socks! Discover H&M’s top tips on sustainability.
2) Grab a plant-based lunch
A largely plant-based diet is the key to a sustainable future for our planet, and there are plenty of delicious vegan dishes on offer at Trinity Leeds. Grab a vegan sandwich from Boots while you’re on the go, or order a vegan dish from wagamama for collection or delivery.
3) Use our bins!
At Trinity Leeds we're committed to creating a sustainable approach to rubbish disposal and we've worked hard to ensure that our litter avoids becoming landfill. In fact, in the last two years we have recycled over 20,000 coffee cups and plastic bottles!
4) Ditch single-use plastic
Cutting back on single-use plastic is a must for any eco-conscious shopper, so you’ll be glad to know that Holland & Barrett is here to help. With a wide range of shampoo and shaving bars, plus toiletries and cleaning products in recyclable and sustainable packaging, you’re really spoilt for choice!
5) Recycle & reuse
Next time you’re popping in to M&S for your groceries, remember to drop off any used batteries at the recycling point. Plus, when you donate to Oxfam at the moment, you’ll receive a £5 voucher to spend on purchases of £35 or more at M&S!
