ASSITANT MANAGER

We opened Döner Haus in Glasgow in 2017 with a view to change kebabs forever. Using the finest quality meats and artisan baked breads to create our unique kebaps, we've built up an excellent reputation and we are now opening Döner Shack in Trinity Kitchen, Leeds. We are looking for a professional Assistant Manager to get the best out of our team members and deliver a great customer experience.

The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction as well as creating a professional but enjoyable working environment.

You will need to be experienced with the day to day operations within a restaurant with an excellent ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

* Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance

* Maintain a fully-stocked inventory and order food/drink supplies, as needed

* Arrange to have shifts covered (e.g. when employees take time off)

* Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges

* Track daily costs and revenues

* Comply with HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards at all times

* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing breads/sauces)

* Cook menu items in line with brand standards

* Balance the cash register at the end of the shift

* Coordinate with suppliers as they deliver food product orders

* Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints

* Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)

* Inform the next Shift Manager about pending tasks

* Report maintenance and training needs

Requirements

* Proven experience in an assistant manager role in a restaurant

* Good knowledge of restaurant operations (like managing reservations and payments)

* Availability to work different shifts, including weekends

* Basic knowledge of bookkeeping procedures

* A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism

* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

* Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Email and Epos)

* Good numeracy and literacy skills

* Reliability to work flexible 45 hours per week
