Restaurant Manager - Doner Haus - Opening Soon

RESTAURANT MANAGER

We opened Döner Haus in Glasgow in 2017 with a view to change kebabs forever. Using the finest quality meats and artisan baked breads to create our unique kebaps, we've built up an excellent reputation and we are now opening Döner Shack in Trinity Kitchen, Leeds. We are looking for a professional Restaurant Manager to lead the team and take complete responsibility for ensuring the restaurant functions flawlessly.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in both front and back of the house roles and be extremely reliable. Management experience is also essential, as you’ll be in charge of recruitment, setting work schedules and making sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate daily restaurant operations

* Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

* Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

* Organize and supervise shifts

* Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

* Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products

* Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

* Comply with HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards at all times

* Cook menu items in line with brand standards

* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing breads/sauces)

* Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth

* Train new and current employees

* Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

* You’ll work a rota minimum of 45 hours a week and fill any shortfalls as necessary

Requirements

* Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager or similar role

* Proven customer service experience as a manager

* Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and staff

* Familiarity with restaurant management software

* Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

* Accuracy and speed in executing tasks

* £27,000 pa salary (+ performance related bonus)
