Re.Pair Lab is an innovative retail initiative promoting sustainability, creativity, and community. Explore our curated rails showcasing sustainable slow fashion and second-hand collections, designed and sourced by Leeds-based creatives. Discover the work of our talented resident designer-makers, who have been paired with our charity retailer partner, Emmaus, to repair and transform clothing that would otherwise end up in landfill, into new garments and collections. Learn how to reinvent your wardrobe and improve your clothing repair skills through our programme of free creative workshops which aim to inspire a new perspective on upcycling
Emmaus Leeds supports people who have experienced homelessness by giving them a home for as long as they need it, meaningful work experience in a social enterprise and an opportunity to regain lost self-esteem to help rebuild their lives. Emmaus Leeds is one of 29 Emmaus communities across the country, together supporting more than 850 companions (formerly homeless people) in the UK.
We are proud to present Leeds Beckett University’s Class of 2024 graduate fashion collections. This year, students have explored themes of sustainability through repurposing and upcycling, and zero-waste design and cutting techniques. Inclusivity and diversity are also ever-present in our students’ design thinking, both through sizing and gender representation.
