Q1. I am disabled, can my carer gain entry, even though he/she is not a student?
A1. Yes. Each carer, supporting a ‘pre-registered’ student with a disability, is allowed access (without the carer having to register himself/herself). If a student has a disability, he/she will need to head to the front of the queue, regardless of what their confirmation e-mail states. Students with a disability will be allowed to make their way into the mall before 6.30pm to avoid the rush.
Q2. I’m in a different queue to my friends, can I join my friends in their queue?
A2. Yes. We have 2 queues on the night. Students are permitted to queue in either. One outsuide Topshop/ River island and the other is outside the main Boots entrance, we will be swapping your confirmation emails for wristbands and keeping you entertained with DJ's, freebies and spot prizes!
Q3. I am a general shopper - can I attend Student Night?
A3. Yes, you can shop but you will not receive the designated student discounts and will not be given a pink Student Night wristband. The centre will be open all evening for non-students.
Q4. Can I bring my child / children to the event if I am a student?
A4. Yes, children are permitted at the event but please bear in mind the nature of the event.
Q5. I don’t have an NUS card or acceptance letter and I am in 6th form / college / university. How can I prove I’m a student?
A5. Please come to the customer service lounge with any form of verification that you are a student (i.e. college card). Our staff can verify this and then sign you up.
Q6. Can I bring my friend who isn’t a student to the event?
A6. Yes, but they won’t receive a wristband for discounts.
Q7. How do I get a VIP wristband?
A7. Make sure you come find us at the Leeds Beckett and Leeds University Freshers fairs on the 19th, 24th and 25th September. If you aren't around on those days we will be signing people up in the centre the week before the big night, keep a look out for the VIP team! A VIP wristband means you don't have to queue and can get in on the discounts two hours early!
Q8. What do I get with a VIP wristband? A8. The VIP wristband entitles you to 2 hours of early access to the centre and queue jump, meaning early access to the discounts!
