Try the Stourton Park & Ride!
Beat the traffic and discover a hassle-free way to travel to Trinity Leeds
The Stourton Park & Ride is a quick, easy and cheap way to get to Trinity Leeds and avoid any queueing traffic. It's also the first fully solar-powered park and ride site in the UK and will be served by an all-electric bus fleet that will operate 7 days a week, running every 10-20 minutes.
There will be capacity for 1,200 vehicles including 26 electric car charging points, secure cycle storage and dedicated disabled, family and motorcycle bays.
There are also staffed, heated waiting facilities with toilets and baby changing facilities and free WiFi on all buses!
Having fewer cars on the streets frees up space for people, enabling us to create more healthy and liveable streets in which to move around, spend time and have fun.
Alongside this, using zero emission electric buses will result in better air quality and improved public health for local residents.
You can find the Stourton Park & Ride at Junction 7 on the M621, accessed directly from the M621 Motorway, A61 Wakefield Road and A639 Leeds Road to Pontefract Road, catering for trips from the South and South/West of the city.
The routes to gain access to and from Trinity are:
- PR1 Elland Road: customers can still get on and off on Boar Lane – the service then continues to the P&R via Whitehall Road
- PR2 Temple Green: customers will now get on and off on Lower Briggate – the service then continues to the P&R via York St (bus station)
